A Virus

Viruses are forms of life made up almost exclusively of DNA. Once inside living cells, viruses are able to use the host cell's material to make more copies of the virus, which can then infect other cells. At this step we can begin to resolve some of the smallest viruses using an electron scanning or electron tunneling microscope.
