I find it intriguing that this image is halfway between the largest and smallest power of 10 that I have presented in this site. There are as many jumps to reach the limits of the known universe as there are to reach the smallest known particle. We know of no form of life large enough to be visible to the naked eye at this scale, yet we can easily see the signs of life here. We can recognize the fields and forests of living plants and see definite signs of intelligence in the linear and geometric shapes of our cities.
